Wakefield Trinity Crowned Betfred Super League Champions

A huge congratulations to Wakefield Trinity, who have been crowned 2026 Betfred Super League Champions following an incredible victory at Old Trafford.

Trinity defeated Warrington Wolves 23–10 in the Grand Final on Saturday 3 October, completing a remarkable season and making history in their first-ever Super League Grand Final. The victory also marks the club’s first league championship since 1968.

As proud sponsors and one of Wakefield Trinity’s longest-standing sponsors, everyone at Schools Advisory Service has been delighted to follow the team’s journey throughout the season and see them finish it in such memorable fashion.

Our relationship with Trinity goes back many years, so to see the club reach this milestone and be crowned Super League Champions makes the achievement even more special for everyone at SAS.

Celebrating with our schools

Ahead of the Grand Final, we wanted to give some of our schools the opportunity to be part of the occasion too.

To celebrate Trinity reaching Old Trafford, we launched a special ticket prize draw, giving three lucky schools the chance to attend the Grand Final and experience the atmosphere first-hand.

They joined a sell-out crowd at Old Trafford for what turned out to be a historic evening for the club, with Trinity taking the trophy following an outstanding 23–10 win.

It made an already exciting prize even more special, and we hope our winning schools had an incredible evening watching history being made.

A season to remember

Wakefield’s victory completes an extraordinary journey for the club. Having competed in the Championship just two years ago, Trinity returned to Super League and went on to reach their first Grand Final before being crowned champions.

It is a fantastic achievement for the players, coaching team, staff and everyone connected with the club.

As the longest-standing sponsor, we’re incredibly proud to have supported Wakefield Trinity on their journey and look forward to continuing our relationship with the club following an unforgettable 2026 season.

Congratulations to everyone at Wakefield Trinity, your 2026 Betfred Super League Champions!
