Happy Smiles Training
Disability Awareness & Social Inclusion Training
Our team provides interactive training workshops to schools, community groups, charities and more, focusing on various aspects of disabilities awareness. Our training is uniquely facilitated by our Inclusion Champions – young disabled adults. Through their stories, we teach audiences how challenges can be overcome. There is currently no other organisation in our borough or further afield offering similar employable opportunities to young disabled adults, in order to positively impact communities.
100% of our organisation have direct or indirect lived experience of disability and we currently receive over 70 hours per week of volunteer commitment. This includes our work being facilitated by a former teacher, carer and SENCo. We have currently delivered training to over 3000 children, young people and adults, whilst being recognised and applauded for our COVID-19 response. We have also released an innovative new book series, creating awareness for children and young people of long-term health conditions in adults and inspired by people with lived experiences of conditions such as dementia, depression and cancer. Hundreds of copies of our first book have already sold internationally, since its release in January 2021, with five more to follow in 2021. We are now using the book as part of our training offer to schools.
We will offer SAS clients a free consultation with our team, as well as 25% off our training services.
We are able to delivery in person training across the North West and online training Nationwide.
