Freedom Foundation educates students about positive mental health and understand the impact of social media on mental health. Our programmes use music and dance as a platform to explore emotions, resilience and confidence.
Established in 2018 Freedom Foundation was founded by experts in the music industry and charity sector. Our facilitators are all industry professionals with acclaimed dancers, singers and rappers as part of our team. We have built the delivery of our programmes based on consultation with these industry professionals and alongside those in education, childcare and mental health.
Our programmes have been tested and we continue to evolve the content of delivery through the ever changing world. All our programmes are evaluated and we can align our outcomes with you as a school or academy trust. Our Theory of Change, developed with the University of Nottingham helps us in demonstrating how our programmes help you achieve PSHE outcomes. Our programmes which use singing and songwriting and streetdance and hip-hop teach students abilities to cope with ‘common’ mental health problems such as anxiety, stress, depression and social media and we enable them to explore aspiration, ambition, self-confidence and resilience. Delivered as one-off sessions or throughout a whole academic year we work with you to provide intervention to prevent these problems escalating.
